Truth Be Told - The Apple Doesn't Fall Far From The Tree
Having seen changes in kids' attitudes over the years. I wonder where the rudeness, disrespect, and overall lack of responsibility come from. But, after each meeting with parents, I don't have to look any further. Almost all kids with difficulties have parents who defend their child without looking them in the eye for fear their child might not love them for asking questions. Parents don't discipline for fear they won't have their best friend to look up to them. Parents who are lost have children that are lost. They are more concerned about themselves than bringing their kids up with proper values. Parents who get divorced, or don't know where the father is have all to do to think about where they are going to get a date, who's going to stroke them..... oh, of course - their kids..... better not say anything to them that would piss them off. - Right? ...WRONG! Your kids need discipline. Understand this much: Putting boundaries on them is like giving them a hug. They need that! They need discipline.
